RIP LEVON--1 YEAR

#254192 1 year ago
can't believe it has been a year.

cherish all the times seeing him play so late in life, and the magical ramble at his barn with phil and his sons in 2011.

they still have shows there, if you live out in the NE, you should go, it's where phil got the idea for terrapin crossroads, and levon's can't be beat. no restaurant, no bars, no cell phones, no talking.
who else is gonna bring you, a broken arrow?

RIP Levon Helm. Here is a fitting quote from his book, Wheel's On Fire: "As for The Band, we never sold millions of records or got attacked by groupies, but we're still here. We never thought our "career" was more important than the music. That's our whole story right there."

If you stumble, make it part of the dance.

One of the great backbones of rock n roll. Whenever a song is heartfelt and true, Levon is still with us.
"Got any nails?"
"No!"
"Got any flies?"
